On 14 April, two historically-relevant tragedies occurred:
- 1867 - Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. by John Wilkes Booth. (AUDIO: Assassin in the Limelight)
- 1912 - The RMS Titanic struck an iceberg as it crossed the North Atlantic Ocean. As the ship sank, the Seventh Doctor stopped Huitzilin from acquiring the Xiuhcoatl. (PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird)
