• From around this time, John Whiteside-Smith - an ancestor of Evelyn Smythe - becomes an adviser at the court of Elizabeth 1st. The sixth doctor vaguely recalls "the chap" being around during one of his many visitors to this period (BFA: The Marian Conspiracy)
