• The English Civil War begins on Earth. The War Lords kidnap soldiers from this conflict for use in their war games, and the Master uses his TOMTIT device to bring a troop of Roundheads to the late 20th century, where they fire upon Captain Yates' troops ("The War Games," "The Time Monster").
