• The Nemesis statue passes Earth, its approach possibly influencing the French Revolution. About the same time, the Nemesis bow is stolen from Windsor Castle. (DW: Silver Nemesis)

• Thomas Gainsborough dies.

• George Gordon, Lord Byron, is born. The Doctor will meet Byron sometime prior to his fourth incarnation. At least two Reprises of Byron will exist in Europa, one of them a vampire. (MA: Managra)
