• The Earth has become uninhabitable; no one can go outside or grow a garden, and the Atlantic Storm rages.
• The Game Station is equipped with a transmat that selects people on Earth at random and places them on dangerous game shows for the Earth's entertainment. (DW: Bad Wolf)
• The Daleks attempt to invade Earth but are stopped by Rose Tyler, with the powers of the Bad Wolf entity, who reduces all of the Daleks, their Emperor and their fleet to atoms. (DW: The Parting of the Ways)
