- 13 July - The first performance of Doctor Who at the Proms (including Bodyswap to the Proms) took place at Royal Albert Hall. It was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 along with The Soundworld of Doctor Who.
- 14 July - The second performance of Doctor Who at the Proms took place at Royal Albert Hall.
- 15 July - The Final Phase was released by Big Finish.
- 16 July - DVD box set The Doctors Revisited: Part One was released in Region 1.
- 16 July - Heathrow Airport began a special summer-long Doctor Who event to celebrate the show's fiftieth anniversary. The opening was marked by a performance by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and a book signing of Jenny Colgan's Dark Horizons.[1][2]
