Adjoa Andoh (born 1969) played Sister Jatt in New Earth and Francine Jones in Smith and Jones, The Lazarus Experiment, 42, The Sound of Drums, Last of the Time Lords, The Stolen Earth and Journey's End. She also recorded an Audio book version of Wooden Heart. Outside of Doctor Who she appeared in BBC Medical drama Casualty from 2001 to 2003 playing the character Colette Griffiths.
