Africa, formerly Afric, (TV: The Shakespeare Code) was an Earth continent. It was home to lots of animals, including lions, elephants, gazelles, buffalo, zebras, rhinos, (PROSE: Prelude Birthright) and mountain gorillas. (PROSE: The Last Dodo) It was the ancestral home of the mammoth and the human. (PROSE: Timewyrm: Apocalypse)

Africa was situated to the south of Europe, to the west of Asia and was separated from the Americas to its west by the Atlantic Ocean. The Cape Verd Isles were located in the Atlantic Ocean just to the west of North Africa. (TV: War of the Sontarans)
