Akeshomon's moon was a moon that circled the planet Akoshemon.

The entire moon was covered with a kind of lichen. The surface had huge thrusting rocks everywhere which were sharp and jagged.

Luminous rock-worms lived in the rocks of the moon. They exuded a bioluminescent mucous. The Fifth Doctor hypothesised that they only moved about an inch per year, and that they probably couldn't survive outside of the rock.

The ashes of the Dark were buried there.

A mining expedition took place there in 2382. (PROSE: Fear of the Dark)
