Alan Mortimer was the son of George Mortimer and Helen Mortimer and the brother of Ida Mortimer. He and his family stumbled into the Doctor's TARDIS when the Doctor materialised outside their burning house during the Great Fire of London. They believed that he was a warlock and that the TARDIS was powered by magic. They then traveled with him to the Andromeda Galaxy in the far future. (DWA: Doctor Who and the Invasion from Space)
