Alex Midwood played Joshua McAvoy in the Doctor Who television story Forest of the Dead.
According to an interview he did seven years later in Round 107 of Toby Hadoke's Who's Round, he was interested in acting since the age of four. He trained at Stagecoach Theatre Arts from a young age, who also represented him and got him his acting jobs.
Outside of Doctor Who, he played a part in Southcliffe, and appeared as an extra in the film How I Live Now, both released in 2013.
