Alexander Denes was Controller of the Central European Zone and Giles Kent's last ally in his fight against Ramón Salamander.

Biography

Denes was born in France in the 20th century.(PROSE: Doctor Who and the Enemy of the World) At some point prior to 2018, he was made Controller of the Central European Zone of Earth. In 2018, after some form of communication with Giles Kent, Denes accused Ramón Salamander of causing the volcanic eruptions in Hungary, but Salamander accused him of negligence for ignoring his earlier warning about the impending eruptions and had him arrested. Denes was kept in a corridor but, on the orders of Donald Bruce, was treated with respect and courtesy while under guard. Victoria Waterfield brought him some food, which proved to be his last meal; when Denes tried to escape with Victoria and Astrid Ferrier, he was shot and killed by the Guard captain. (TV: The Enemy of the World)

Personality

Denes was a pleasant man who, while he could be deadly serious in the times of his job, had a cheeky schoolboy-like sense of humour (such as when he told a guard, "It's been a long time since I've had my dinner cut up for me") and always treated people in a gentlemanly manner. (TV: The Enemy of the World)
