Arcadia was a human colony located in the Damascene Cluster. (TV: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang)

History[]

The colony was established in the 26th century, (PROSE: Deceit) though the Matrix had record of it existing in the 24th century. (AUDIO: Neverland) The Seventh Doctor visited Arcadia and found it to be a non-technological paradise which served as a living specimen for a centuries-long experiment. (PROSE: Deceit)

The Sixth Doctor once decided to take Frobisher and Peri to Arcadia. He told of its "rolling fields, glittering still lakes and vast cloudless skies". However, he landed on the Mayflower by mistake. (COMIC: Profits of Doom!)

Later, the Eleventh Doctor took Amy Pond to Arcadia. She told the Doctor that he was being exceptionally nice to her by taking her to Arcadia, suggesting that she had had a pleasant experience. (TV: Vincent and the Doctor)

The planet was the source of Arcadian diamonds, which were very valuable. Captain John Hart once tried to steal one, but was betrayed by the woman he planned to take it from after her death. (TV: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang)

After the Last Great Time War, a piece of TARDIS coral was located on Arcadia. Sladen stole a piece of the coral with her partner Dana MacLeish. Jack Harkness intervened and took the coral for himself. (COMIC: The Culling)

The Tenth Doctor mentioned "the fall of Arcadia" as a major event in the Last Great Time War. (TV: Doomsday[1]) According to several later accounts, this concerned not the planet Arcadia but a Gallifreyan city of the same name. (TV: The Last Day)
