The Arcalian Chapter, or Arcalian College, was a chapter on Gallifrey. Time Lords belonging to the chapter wore ceremonial robes of green.

History[]

In the pre-time travel days of the Gallifreyans, the Arcalians were the most prominent chapter, with the Gallifreyan Council being all-Arcalian. After the Prydonian solar engineer Rassilon's coup, his Chapter replaced the Arcalian Chapter as the dominant one, and so it remained as the Gallifreyans made way for the Time Lords as Rassilon continued to restructure their society from the ground up. The Arcalian Chapter was one of the six original colleges on Gallifrey, dating back to the Time of Chaos. Rassilon did not give them the ability to regenerate until after the Prydonians and the Patrexes. (AUDIO: Zagreus)

The Arcalian Council for Temporal Research was a scientific organisation on Gallifrey. (PROSE: Spiral Scratch)

A number of Arcalians attended the 406th President's Resignation Day in their green ceremonial robes. (TV: The Deadly Assassin)

During the Time of Chaos, the Arcalians was led by Lord Provost Tepesh, Prime of the Arcalian Chapter, who was secretly a Great Vampire. He was incinerated by Rassilon after revealing his true nature. (AUDIO: Zagreus)

Brastall monitored the changes to history caused by the Fourth Doctor's actions on Skaro. (PROSE: A Device of Death)

Elar was a temporal engineer and a member of the Committee of Three. (PROSE: Blood Harvest)

Andred (AUDIO: Insurgency) and Torvald belonged to the Arcalian Chapter. (AUDIO: The Inquiry) Torvald was a high-ranking member of the CIA (AUDIO: Weapon of Choice, etc.) before Andred killed him and, in a new incarnation, took on his identity for some months. (AUDIO: A Blind Eye)

Alistanathcalebiviteth, or "Stan", a minor C.I.A. field agent, described himself to Tabby Fellowes as a member of the Arcalian College. (PROSE: Tabby Cats And Time Lords)

Ryoth was a High Councillor and a member of the CIA. He attempted to kill the Eighth Doctor using a Raston Warrior Robot and a Drashig, which was sent back to him and killed him. (PROSE: The Eight Doctors)

Wynter was Chapter Castellan of the Arcalians. (AUDIO: Lies) He disfigured himself, causing his death, to prevent Pandora from using him as her tool. (AUDIO: Spirit, Pandora)

Lady Farina mentioned during her integration with the Eleven that he was Arcalian. (AUDIO: The Eleven)
