Argon (Terror on Tiro)

Argon was the leader of the Staggs of Tiro. With the assistance of the First Doctor, he was able to stop an invasion of Tiro by Klarimo. Some time later, he and a team of Staggs investigated the poisoning of their water supply, and traced it to Klarimo, who had not been taken back to his world but was trapped in an underground chamber as an energy being. Argon defeated Klarimo, again with the assistance of the Doctor, who had returned to Tiro. In exchange for helping to save his people, Argon gave the Doctor some magnatite he needed to repair his klister valve. (PROSE: Terror on Tiro)
