Arr’Chorrs were an alien race that never invented technology for themselves instead using the technology of others. Their whole planet was at one time bankrupt through backing the continuation of ongoing live broadcast of ‘repeats’ of their favourite entertainment show ‘EarthEnders’ being unable to devise a means of recording the show following the disruption of video recording due to the solar flares that ravaged the Earth. They were given a new lease of life when they were shown how to use Amy Pond’s mobile phone to record video and with the help of the former cast members of the show embarked on making new shows for broadcast without the expense of maintaining the recording studios on Earth.
