Lord Artix was the brother of Luass and the uncle of Izaxyrl. He plotted with his sister to kidnap his nephew during his Ascendance Rite, making him ineligible for inheriting the throne and allowing Artix to succeed Uzoxx. He captured the Eighth Doctor, Stacy Townsend and Ssard when they came to rescue Izaxyrl, allowing only the Doctor and Izaxyrl to go free. They later returned to free the Doctor's friends, where Izaxyrl attacked and defeated his uncle. After returning to Uzoxx's home with the captured Artix, Luass killed him for exposing her treachery.
