Baron Samedi was a Swimmer between universes and a loa, considered the head of the Guédé. He and Spinning Jenny were summoned to Strines in January 1854, and they engaged in a fierce battle that would cost Spinning Jenny her life.
While massive and uncommunicative in his form as a Swimmer, an extension of the Baron's intelligence could "ride" human hosts in order to communicate. Like any loa, Baron Samedi could be summoned, appeased, and reasoned with, although it was considered too dangerous to try making a deal with him.
