The Battle of Jutland was a naval battle in World War I.
Ben Jackson's uncle, a crewmember of the Lion, fought in the battle. Thousands of naval personnel died in the battle. Ben's uncle told him those who drowned were "the lucky ones." Sixty died when an enemy shell scored a direct hit on a turret, igniting charges deeper in the ship, which Ben's uncle did not like to talk about.
