The bonepuppets were a species that tried to conquer Earth in the 15th century.
They used a weed that would have covered half the planet and driven out the human race. The Sixth Doctor was able to stop them with Xoco's help, but not before her husband was killed.
The Seventh Doctor later visited Xoco's adult child Tochtli, having him use the psychic power he had inherited from his mother to learn of the bonepuppets' newest plans. The Doctor used that information to stop them on another planet. (PROSE: Nobody's Gift)
