Sergeant Calder was an officer in the British Army. He was part of the bomb disposal squad under Colonel Archer sent with Professor Laird to investigate a threat discovered in the London docklands, which turned out to be samples of the Movellan virus sent by the Daleks to 1984 Earth for safekeeping. Calder was killed by the Daleks and replaced by a Dalek Duplicate, which was killed fighting Daleks loyal to Davros. (DW: Resurrection of the Daleks)
