This article needs a big cleanup.

This is totally wrong. This should be an in-universe page with real world stuff in a behind the scenes section. There'd be almost no reason to keep this at all if it weren't mentioned in-universe.

These problems might be so great that the article's factual accuracy has been compromised. Talk about it here or check the revision history or Manual of Style for more information.

This article needs an in-universe perspective.

It currently has too much of a real-world perspective. It may also be written primarily in the present tense. Please check the overall content against our Manual of Style, consult the talk page and revision history for any relevant notes, employ the past tense, and then remove this message.

Call the Midwife is a period drama broadcast on BBC One.

The cast appeared in a comedy sketch for 2013's Comic Relief which combined elements of the series with that of the Channel 4 documentary series One Born Every Minute. It also featured Matt Smith in an appearance as the Eleventh Doctor. The cast also appeared in It's Showtime a few months before. Jenny Agutter later played her character in Looking for Pudsey.

A number of cast members have also appeared in Doctor Who productions individually, most notably Jessica Raine who portrayed Emma Grayling in the Series 7 episode Hide (also directed by Call the Midwife director Jamie Payne). Jenny Agutter and Pam Ferris have also voiced characters for audio dramas.

Similarly there are also a number of other actors who have guest starred in both series, as well as crew members who have worked on both.
