Captain Croag and the Highland Rangers was a Kaled television series that was screened for the Kaled population on Skaro. Davros watched it as a child, as did his elder half-sister Yarvell.
One episode of the series featured Captain Croag being taken prisoner and tortured in the Thal Dome. He eventually made his escape with nothing but a length of rusted pipe to use as a weapon.
It was implied to be a propaganda series by several parents who said that "it shows children what Thals are in a way they can understand." Davros even said he used to have toys of the soldiers on the show but sold them to buy a scientific datapad for college. He joked that his mother was not pleased by this. (AUDIO: Guilt)
