Chidak was a member of the resistance group on Proxima Major he wanted to fire a missile at the TARDIS. He captured the Fourth Doctor and Romana I thinking they worked for the Daleks. He reluctantly allowed the Doctor to work out how to stop the Daleks momentarily. He thought the Doctor brought the Daleks to the base. He wanted to give up but the Doctor persuaded him out of it. (AUDIO: The Dalek Contract) He didn't want the Doctor to reveal his location as he thought the Daleks would kill them all. He admired the Dalek technologies. He didn't understand dimensional transcendentalism. He was killed by a glancing blow by a Dalek. (AUDIO: The Final Phase)
