Christopher H. Bidmead

Christopher H. (Hamilton) Bidmead (born 1941) is a British writer and journalist who wrote several TV serials, all of which he also novelised. He was also script editor for Season 18.

He was either officially or unofficially (therefore agreed, but not contracted to do any) attached to write several serials that were ultimatelly cancelled. They were In the Hollows of Time, a two-part (45 minute) story for the cancelled season 23^[1], and a four parter Pinacotheca (a.k.a. The Last Adventure) which would have been the third part in the Trial of a Time Lord arc^[2].

• The TARDIS' Cloister Room and Cloister Bell, as well as the Zero Room.
• The concept of a regeneration going wrong to the point of possibly failing (a plot development repeated with later incarnations).
• The concept of an "in-between" Doctor, in this case the Watcher (later, arguably, the Valeyard fit into this category, too).
