Chula warships were spaceships that could travel in time.
Armament and Specifications[]
Chula warships were equipped with tractor beams and nanogenes. Chula warships were very fast and versatile and could be operate by only one individual [though it is possible that it could be operated by three if needed]. For defensive and offensive weapons capabilities, Chula warships were surprisingly well armed with three forward facing energy weapons [of unknown type], as well as missile weaponry [also, of unknown type]. A Chula warship’s paint color scheme differed slightly as these ships can have either white and red markings or even dark black-ish-red-ish markings [as with Captain Jack’s personal Chula warship]. These warships could also turn invisible in order to avoid detection. They also had an onboard sentient computer.
Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the Chula warship appears to lack any sort of escape craft in the event of a Chula warship’s destruction, as this appears to be a key weakness in the warship’s design.
History[]
Jack Harkness used a Chula warship, which he claimed was the last one in existence, as his time travel vessel for a short while when he was a con man. He used it to save the last Selkie from the ruins of her planet and deliver her to Earth. (COMIC: The Selkie)
Fellow con man Alexander Martin, posing as a customs official on the planet Balthazar, impounded Jack's ship as part of a con but gave it back shortly after as "it didn't suit his purposes". (PROSE: The House That Jack Built)
Later, Jack used it to steer a Chula ambulance to attract the TARDIS, which he thought contained Time Agents. He used its tractor beam to rescue Rose Tyler from falling (TV: The Empty Child) and also to stop a German bomb from hitting the stranded ambulance. (TV: The Doctor Dances) Jack also had a remote control that operated a lot of the ship's functions, including the invisibility control, (TV: The Empty Child) the ship's teleport function and a music player. This warship was later destroyed by the bomb onboard. The warship's last act was to perform "emergency protocol 417"- generate a large martini for Jack in the event his death was unavoidable (though with too much vermouth). Jack escaped the Chula warship when the Doctor docked his TARDIS on board it long enough for him to switch vessels, leaving the warship to meet its destruction. (TV: The Doctor Dances)

- Captain Jack’s Chula warship was released as a toy, as part of the short-lived 2007 to 2008 Doctor Who Micro Universe toy line. It is very well detailed with the nice black and red Chula war-paint markings and visible weapons.
