Biography[]
Cleaver and his partner, Fortuna, were employed by the Eleven to capture the Eighth Doctor and take him to the Satanic Mill. To do this, Cleaver and Fortuna had Galileo Galilei record a message for him in the form of a stone record which ended up in the National Museum in 1963.
Using the name "Massimo da Riva", Cleaver spent his time supplying alien creatures, such as anthropophagi and bloodhogs to noblemen such as the Duke of Urbino and Count Licori, as well as visiting Venice and enjoying Italian culture. He also devoured human souls despite Fortuna telling him to be careful, attracting Cavalli 1's attention.
Cleaver saw the Doctor, Liv Chenka and Helen Sinclair in Florence and was cornered by Cavalli 1, upon whom he set Heracles, one of his two morgrahound. After capturing the Doctor, he returned to his ship and attacked Cavalli 2, but later died trying to feed on the Doctor's soul. (AUDIO: The Galileo Trap)
