Coffa was a member of the Forest of Cheem, one of the guests on Platform One. He accompanied Jabe to witness the Sun expanding and destroying the Earth. He and his associate Lute were obviously distraught when the Doctor made them aware of Jabe's fate. (DW: The End of the World)
When the Doctor and Rose Tyler revisited Coffa and Lute, they informed him that survivors of Platform One had begun disappearing. While the Doctor saved their garden from Montodon Slemm, Coffa and Lute disappeared as well. (DWBIT: Growing Terror) They had been kidnapped by the Elth of Balhoon, who believed that they hadn't tried to help the Moxx of Balhoon and had abandoned him to die. They were rescued by the Doctor, and not only forgave the Elth for kidnapping them, offered to help him. (DWBIT: Reunion of Fear)
