Professor Logan's complex was created for his supposed space missions to Venus.
As UNIT funded the project, the Third Doctor and the Brigadier visited to investigate Logan's claims. When the Doctor discovered that he was lying to the government about going to Venus to restore his home, a government minister stated there would be a full enquiry.
The complex was heavily guarded both day and night, a car park, a quarantine chamber and a central control room from which to control missions. The project possessed at least two rockets (Venus I and Venus II). Logan's home overlooked the complex. (COMIC: Doctor Who and the Rocks from Venus)
