Cornflower Cottage was a former inn located in the Lake District.
Sarah Jane Smith once stayed at Cornflower Cottage for a writing holiday. While there she learned the history of the cottage, which had been called the Sow in Rut.
The previous landlords had kept pigs which commanded them to kill and eat their human guests.
While Sarah was staying at the cottage with K9, K9 was taken over by the demonic pig spirit inhabiting the cottage. It was defeated by the heather in Sarah's jacket but remained in the water near the cottage. (PROSE: The Sow in Rut)
