Lieutenant Crane was an officer in the British Army during World War I.
He was abducted by the War Lords and hypnotised into participating in their simulated version of the war. He captured Zoe Heriot and Lady Jennifer Buckingham, suspecting them of being the escaped spies he had heard about, and attempted to bring them to Captain Ransom.
Like all the surviving victims of the War Lords, he was returned home by the Time Lords. (TV: The War Games)
