General Cruger was an ally of Hans Kesar's. It turned out that he had ordered the VETACs to come and had killed soldiers who interfered or did anything wrong. He was killed by Darkling who saw him strangle an innocent soldier and sacrificed his life.
He modelled a chess set for Hans Kesar (or Gerhart Rutger) during their stay. He left the King, who was Kesar, with a blank face.
He ordered VETAC robots to pull away before the war, which may have caused more conflicts. (PROSE: Dreams of Empire)
