The DWA abbreviation designates a Doctor Who Universe prose or comic strip story printed in an annual publication.

DWA is used for

• Doctor Who Annuals, Yearbooks and Storybooks
• Dalek Annuals
• K-9 Annuals

DWA is not used for

• TV Comic Annuals - see TVC
• TV Action Annuals - see TVA
• Torchwood Magazine Yearbooks - see TWM
• Doctor Who Adventures content - see DWAM

Individual issues of Doctor Who Adventures, however, do use the DWA prefix in their article titles
