DVD release (with cover blurb)[]
- Each issue came with a DVD release covering two episodes.
- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.
- "Not even the Time Lords came this far. We should leave."
- Captain Jack is delighted to spot the TARDIS again, but the Doctor's ship is rather less than pleased and flees to the end of the universe trying to shake off the former Time Agent. Landing on Malcassairo, the Doctor thinks his greatest challenges will be escaping the Futurekind and helping to launch a spaceship, but he didn't reckon on the arrival of an old enemy!
- "So, Earthlings! Basically, um... end of the world."
- Landing back on Earth with a bump, the Doctor, Jack and Martha soon find themselves fugitives on the run from the Master, who has somehow been elected Prime Minister! Only able to watch on in horror as Martha's family are arrested, the TARDIS three must find a way to get closer to the renegade Time Lord and overpower him...

- This issue came with a free second Doctor Who DVD Files binder.
- The Futurekind were designed by concept artist Peter McKinstry based on Russell T Davies's description. The special "tyre track" tattoo on their faces was taken from the idea that the Futurekind would hunt humans while riding quad bikes.
- The Supreme Dalek in The Stolen Earth and Journey's End was also known as the "Supreme One".
- The Master has a curious interest in children's television, having been seen watching The Clangers and the Teletubbies. In The Sound of Drums, he also developed a taste for jelly babies, which he was known to have shared with Lucy Saxon.
- Laser is an acronym of Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
- The Second Doctor was known to have carried a five hundred-year diary; the Seventh Doctor had a nine hundred-year diary.
- Special cloudy contact lenses are used along with prosthetics to achieve the effect of ageing.
