- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.

Notable information
- Revelation of the Daleks had the working title of The End of the Road.
- 1985 saw the suspension of the series, a "Save Doctor Who" campaign by The Sun and the Daily Star newspapers. A charity single "Doctor in Distress" by the group Who Cares was also released, led by Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant.
- Staal was the first Sontaran on screen to name their home world Sontar.
- Sixth Doctor companion Mel's surname "Bush" was never mentioned onscreen.
- Mel's meeting with the Doctor would have been revealed had the following season not been suspended.
- In The Stolen Earth, the Sub-Wave Network used by Harriet Jones was developed by the Mr Copper Foundation.
- Graeme Harper also worked as a crew member on stories featuring the Second, Third and Fourth Doctors.
- Space stations visited by the Doctor include Space Station W3, Space Station J7, Nerva Beacon, Time Station, Game Station and Platform One.
