This page defines a prefix.
Prefixes are used by this wiki to quickly alert the reader to the source of a statement. The most common of these is TV, which indicates the source is a televised story.
DWY is the prefix used to indicate that a story comes from one of the Doctor Who Yearbooks, specifically:
- Doctor Who Yearbook 1992
- Doctor Who Yearbook 1993
- Doctor Who Yearbook 1994
- Doctor Who Yearbook 1995
- Doctor Who Yearbook 1996
It is used in no other cases.
Beware the Brief Encounter
Edit
All stories specifically labelled as a Brief Encounter should instead be labelled with the prefix PROSE. Therefore, the following stories from the 1992 and 1993 editions should have the prefix PROSE:
- Future Imperfect
- Time on a Vine
- The Deal
- Cambridge Previsited
- Dream a Little Dream for Me
- Country of the Blind
- Farewells
- Encounter on Burnt Snake Flat
- A Tourist Invasion
Put another way, only comic strip material from the 1992 and 1993 editions gets the DWY prefix. Beginning with the 1994 edition, all stories get DWY.
