David Fisher (13 April 1929-10 January 2018[1]) wrote several television scripts and novelised two of his stories as Doctor Who and the Creature from the Pit and Doctor Who and the Leisure Hive in the early 1980s. He later returned in the early 2010s to novelise his remaining stories for AudioGO as audiobook versions replacing the novelisations by Terrance Dicks. Fisher wrote another script for Doctor Who called A Gamble With Time but it put too much of an emphasis on gambling and was therefore considered inappropriate. He was unable to revise it, so it was altered by Douglas Adams and Graham Williams. It became City of Death and was produced under the pseudonym David Agnew.
