Derek Moberley

Derek Moberley was a zoologist working at a base in Antarctica. His colleague Charles Winlett and he discovered a Krynoid pod in the permafrost while digging for samples. After Winlett was infected by the pod, Moberley reluctantly agreed to perform surgery on him to slow down the infection. He was strangled and killed by the transformed Winlett. (TV: The Seeds of Doom)
