Private Dockery was a soldier in the Home-Army Fifth Operational Corps in 1969.
He was among the group that investigated the Fungusmen invasion in Northern England. He became infected with the fungus and began mutating into a Fungusman. He was found by Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart. Dockery spent the last half hour of his life talking with Lethbridge-Stewart. After dissolving into the soil, his consciousness existed for long enough to come to his colleagues' rescue. (PROSE: The Last Duty)
