Ed Bazalgette directed the Doctor Who series 9 stories The Doctor's Meditation, The Girl Who Died and The Woman Who Lived, as well as the Class series 1 stories For Tonight We Might Die and The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo.

Bazalgette began his directorial career with a number of documentaries and docudramas, including Hannibal starring Alexander Siddig. Other popular drama series he has directed for include EastEnders, Holby City, and Poldark.

Prior to directing, Bazalgette was a member of the pop group The Vapors, perhaps best known for their single "Turning Japanese".
