Edryc Dragonsbane

Sir Edryc Dragonsbane was the "loyal retainer" of Lord Mortigan. He joined the Twelfth Doctor, Clara Oswald, Lord Mortigan and Weezie to face off against the Dragon Lord after he freed the enslaved dragons, causing the murder the royal family on a planet. After Mortigan killed a baby dragon, its parents attacked, splitting the group in half. Clara, Mortigan and Sir Edryc ran for a cave, where Edryc shielded Clara and Mortigan from a dragon's flames. Describing himself as "an old man playing out a childhood dream ... [living] out that dream for real", he drew the dragon away from Clara and Mortigan, and was killed. (COMIC: The Dragon Lord)
