Eska Vastule was an earwig. He was the first assistant director for the programme Land of the Eagles. He set up an attack on the Sixth Doctor while covering a dinner party which Ettyn Rraxhimi attended. When the attack failed, he fired Shogsten Vumm and asked the Doctor for a programme pitch.
