Fear Buds was a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2016. It was the second story to feature the Twelfth Doctor's equine companion Jata. It was written by Andrew Cartmel, who also wrote the previous Jata story.

- The year this story takes place in is left unclear; the Doctor tells Jata he's taken him to the 21st century, but later states it has been 373 years since he was last at the school in 1603, making the year 1976.
