Albion Hospital was a hospital, located on the Thames Embankment, (PROSE: The Time Travellers' Almanac) near the Limehouse Green station in London during the 20th and 21st centuries. It was, according to BBC News 24's Tom Hitchinson, a "UNIT Mortuary".

History[]

20th century[]

In 1941, during the time that Dr Constantine worked there, the hospital was where the Child's plague started, a disease that turned its victims into gas-masked zombies. (TV: The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances)

21st century[]

In 2005, Albion Hospital was also the site in which many victims of the wave of bombings which struck London around this same time were treated. (AUDIO: The Longest Night)

After the London UFO crash on 6 March 2006 (TV: Aliens of London) or 28 June 2006 (PROSE: Operation London) the army utilised the Albion Hospital to contain the corpse of the alien pilot; (TV: Aliens of London) it was studied by xenobiologists (PROSE: Operation London) and the hospital appeared to have been chosen due to its close proximity to the River Thames, the site of the crashed Slitheen craft. (TV: Aliens of London) The examination of the pig slave was mentioned by UNIT Corporal J Frinkstein on a secure operations board on the UNIT website. (PROSE: Operation London) squidbaby23 was seemingly able to take a picture of the alien pig (PROSE: Alien landing confirmed) before it was killed by a soldier. (TV: Aliens of London)

Parallel universes[]

In the Rogue planet's universe, Jackie Prentice, John White and Clive Finch were taken to Albion Hospital following the three comets hitting London. They were subsequently evacuated by Rose Tyler to an underground bunker when the rogue planet made its approach to Earth. (AUDIO: The Rogue Planet)
