Banana Boat was a best friend of Rhys Williams', a relationship epitomised by being the best man at Rhys' wedding to Gwen Cooper.
Biography[]
Banana met with Rhys the day that Gwen found out about Torchwood to let him know that he would be away the following summer. As he would later tell Gwen, they had a cup of tea together. Banana had apparently read "this thing about diabetes." (TV: Everything Changes)
Rhys would often go to the pub with Banana Boat. When he got home, he would talk to Gwen about the things that they had laughed about. He used to share his "road warrior stories" with Rhys. (PROSE: Another Life)
According to Gwen, before the wedding, he was arrested in Lanzarote for selling dodgy DVDs. (TV: A Day in the Death) Ianto had to lie to the Spanish police to get him released.
