Joseph Chambers was a Cabinet minister entrusted with the safety of the destructor codes for all the world's nuclear missiles.
On orders from the Scientific Reform Society, the K1 robot killed Chambers and used the disintegrator gun to open the safe the codes were stored in. (TV: Robot)
