Maught was a planet rich in natural resources, including precious stones. However, its water supplies were exhausted and much of the planet was desert. A small colony, populated by various intergalactic species, remained to trade, with water being the most precious of commodities. For many years there was rumour of an underground stream that was almost a legend. The coordinates for the stream were scattered but collected by Blontt, Tu and Angelo in an unhealthy alliance that left Blontt dead and Angelo and Tu scheming against each other. When the wrong drilling depth was given by the Tenth Doctor, a seismic tremor wrecked the drill and the water once more ran on the planet's surface. (COMIC: The Green, the Bad and the Ugly)
