Oliver was a security guard employed to safeguard the Crystal Scarabs in the artificial Egyptian museum.
Oliver was bound and gagged in bandages by the Sehkmets when they tried to steal the priceless scarab. He was mistaken for a mummy when the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond arrived, but his unwrapped boots gave the game away and he was freed. Oliver helped the Sehkmets escape empty-handed.
