Scout-Ship Commander Ishtek was a Voord. After her homeworld was destroyed circa the 1970s, her ship crashed into the sea near Stegmoor and remained hibernating within whilst it entered its reenergising cycle.
In 2017, Ishtek and her guard, Tellat, were awakened. She was hit on the road by Matilda Gregson and Liv Chenka and was taken to the Gregsons' house where she met the Eighth Doctor and forced him to allow her to use energy from his TARDIS so that she could contact the Voord survival flotilla. Her intention being to conquer the Earth afterwards, the Doctor instead affecting her ship's camouflage and crushing it beneath sand and rock. He was unsure as to whether or not she had been killed or was trapped. (AUDIO: Beachhead)
