Alvega was a planet in the Skaro system and the planet closest to Skaro. It was the homeworld of the Amarylls and their Controller, which was situated at the core of Alvega. The planet was covered in rich vegetation and had almost no animal life save for giant earthworms.

Alvega destroyed. (COMIC: The Amaryll Challenge)

When the Daleks first achieved space flight, Alvega was the first planet they attempted to conquer. The Dalek Fleet's landing was observed by the Amarylls who initially reserved judgement before the Dalek landing force used their gunsticks to clear a path through the vegetation. With the invaders proving hostile, Alvega rose up against the Daleks firing lethal seed barrages that destroyed the Dalek drones. When the plants advanced on the Dalek flying saucers, the Daleks launched. Leaving to continue the conquest of other worlds, the Golden Emperor ordered four ships to conduct an orbital bombardment on Alvega.

After the surface had been blighted, the Daleks began colonising the planet, constructing a city before the Controller caused an earthquake, destroying all but one Dalek ship. Activating its excavators, the last Dalek ship burrowed down near Alvega's planetary core where an earthworm crushed their ship. Though the Daleks destroyed their attacker, they could not save their ship. Braving the underground, the Daleks were picked off one by one until one remained. Confronting the Controller, the last Dalek opened fire, killing and destroying Alvega in a massive explosion. Observing the destruction, the Golden Emperor decreed that whatever the Daleks could not conquer, they would destroy. (COMIC: The Amaryll Challenge)
